I’ve been thinking about how much I like using rugs in a space. It ‘s to the point now that I feel like many rooms feel a bit naked without one. It adds a layer and additional texture to a room and once you start noticing this, it’s hard to un-see it in every room you look at.

Read MoreOn the theme of exterior house colours, I have also been looking a bit at front door colours. Are you into doing a feature colour on your front door? I have come and gone with this idea for my own home a few times. I have mentioned before that I love how colour is used on residential homes overseas, like in the UK. Those old homes with cute front doors painted bright colours are uplifting and give each place a good dose of personality.
