The Beginning.....

So here I am, the first of hopefully many journal posts. In trying to work out what to write about and how to write it, I keep coming back to the logical (and possibly obvious) thought of ‘just start at the beginning’.

In this instance the beginning is the start of my business and the start of this journal. I want this space to be somewhere I can share the things I am working on, the things that are challenging me and the things that are inspiring me. This is likely to always relate to interiors, homes or creative spaces but that is what I love.

First a little bit about me…..I live in Sydney on the Northern Beaches and am an Interior Designer. I have a husband and 4 children aged from 15 down to 6 years old. We have 2 dogs and a cat and a lot happens in the household every day of the week. I love (almost) every minute of it and having a large family was something I always wanted. Another thing I have always wanted was my own business which has found me here, launching A Collected Home. I am really excited about what the future holds and look forward to sharing some of that here, with you. I hope you will come along for the ride - or at least check in from time to time!
